Leadership and Ray LaHood

Posted On 4th October 2006 @ 22:26

There’s one, written in stone, principle about leaders and that is that leaders never, ever advertise their leadership or let anyone else do it for them. If they do, then they’re not leaders.  When you see billboards that say, "Congressman Ray LaHood, Leadership for Change," just remember that a leader, a true leader, would never let that kind of self-serving advertisement be displayed.

Ray LaHood is a perfect example of why incumbents need so much money for their campaigns. They have to convince voters that they’re something they aren’t, leaders. It takes a lot of money to do that and of course,  Ray’s got a lot money.  Good thing for his campaign.

A true leader serves and lets his or her service speak for itself.
