In an interview with C-Span and reported today by Molly Parker of the Peoria Journal Star (www.pjstar.com), Ray LaHood, who’s a long time member of the House Intelligence Committee, defended Bill Clinton’s pursuit of Osama Bin Laden.   Congressman LaHood said in the interview that, "the truth is President Clinton and his team of people, paid a lot of attention to trying to find Bin Laden. And anybody that would deny that doesn’t know what they’re talking about."  The entire interview is online at www.c-span.org (click on Washington Journal to view).

It seems admirable that Ray LaHood is defending Bill Clinton from his many Republican detractors, but then this is an election year and Ray LaHood is a professional politician.  They say "actions speak louder than words" so we need to look at Ray’s actions and not pay much attention to his words as he damns himself in this interview.

While President Bill Clinton was defending America by going after Bin Laden; the political Ray LaHood, along with his Republican buddies, were going after Bill Clinton by trying to impeach him for lying about a private sexual matter that took place between consenting adults.

Ray LaHood knew Bin Laden was our Number One enemy and he knew that Bill Clinton was going after him "with a lot of resources" in Ray’s words. Ray LaHood, put weakening the Presidency by impeaching Bill Clinton for Republican political gain above our country’s safety. It worked!!!
