18th Congressional District

ILHouseDist18.gifThe 18th Congressional District of Illinois contains all or parts of 20 counties in Central and Western Illinois.

The district is a mixture of urban (Peoria, Springfield) and rural areas.  The district contains some of the most productive farmland in the world as well as maintaining a strong manufacturing base.  Several historic and scenic rivers flow through the farm fields, small towns, and large cities of the district.

The counties in the 18th District are:  [1] Adams, Brown, [2] Bureau, Cass, [3] Knox, [4] Logan, [5] Macon, Marshall, [6] Mason, Menard, Morgan, [7] Peoria, Pike, Putnam, [8] Sangamon, Schuyler, Scott, Stark, [9] Tazewell, Woodford.

The 18th District also contains all 11 of the counties that Abraham Lincoln represented during his one term (1847-1849) in Congress.
